My name is Cara Peddle.
I am an independent researcher and analyst.
MY PURPOSE. The world is complicated. The information environment makes it worse. We’re flooded with takes, headlines, and noise, and it’s harder than ever to find analysis that’s honest about what it knows and what it doesn’t. I created The Geopolitical Atlas because I believe people deserve access to clean data and straightforward analysis, without the spin.
MY GOAL. It’s this simple: make information about the world more understandable and more accessible. Whether you’re a policymaker, a student, or someone trying to make sense of the news, this space is built for you. I’ve also built in room for conversation. Comments are open because good analysis shouldn’t be a monologue. And as the Atlas grows, I hope to develop a platform where researchers from around the world can contribute — making this a genuinely collaborative resource.
MY VISION. No single person can cover everything. And if they try, their choices about what to write about (and what to leave out) shape the story in ways that aren’t always visible. That’s why I’m building the GeoLAB: a space for emerging researchers, academics, and professionals to contribute real analysis on the issues that matter to them. My vision is a community of collaborators from around the world, working together to fill the gaps that any one perspective will always have.
My Work
I’m building this as I go. Growing as a professional, following opportunities, and learning what this kind of platform can become. The goal is the most honest, most useful sandbox of thinking I can build.
